As the sole designer and developer of SY Solutions, it is important for my current and potential clients to be able to familiarize themselves with me both professionally and personally. I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from Pace University in 2006. Immediately after, I began working in the software development industry at Raytheon - my current employer of the last three years while also pursuing graduate courses for a Computer Science degree at the University of Rhode Island. During the day I write software full-time and at night I find time to develop sites and continue to learn in this industry. Though my past and current web related projects have been created for family and friends, I am looking to broaden my work outside my circle of family and friends and onto those who seek web work to meet their business needs.
Prior to attending college I grasped a substantial amount of experience in the IT field via troubleshooting, building and repairing PCs. It was not until then that I realized how much I enjoyed working with computers. Once in college, I chose to focus within the web development industry. Through various sources of education (my brother, peers and personal experience) I chose to use my web expertise as a hobby to preserve my technical skills and keep myself well-rounded.
Most of my work is front end development utilizing languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript and use programs like Photoshop and Illustrator to orchestrate my designs. My choice of IDE is Dreamweaver without the use of WYSIWYG mainly because I like to do hands on code and avoid visual guides as much as possible. I am a huge advocate of the open source community and eventually I would like to venture into the Google Android development community for the Android powered devices. For further information on past, current, and future projects, a complete list will be available on this site.
